About Me

Everything I do comes back to one thing: making hard stuff easy to understand.

I didn't plan on fintech. I started in customer service, taking thousands of calls a year from people who were confused, frustrated, and just wanted someone to explain and fix what was going on. So I learned how to do just that. And now eight years later I'm a Sales Engineer owning the technical relationship with enterprise clients, and the job is still the same at its core: take something complicated and make it plain enough to actually use.

Outside of work, my focus is geared towards: my faith, my family, my health, and my growth. I'm a Christian. I'm married, with a toddler boy who thinks he runs the house. I take care of my body and mind because staying healthy in all aspects lets me show up for the people who count on me. And I'm always learning something, usually by building it.

That last part is what this site is about. I'm a tinkerer at heart. I like making tools, writing about what I figure out, and sharing the process while it's still messy. Some of what I build will work. Some of it won't, yet. Either way, I'd rather show the work than wait until it's perfect.
